Borja Couce, the agent of Luka Modric, has recently shed light on the potential transfer of the Croatian midfielder from Real Madrid to Saudi Arabia.
Modric, who has found himself with limited playing time at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, might consider a move to the Middle East as the January transfer window approaches. Couce hinted at Modric’s openness to such a move and revealed that the player has received multiple offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Despite appearing in 15 games for Real Madrid this season, the 38-year-old midfielder has started in only six of them, expressing dissatisfaction with the reduced playing opportunities he’s been afforded.
In an interview with Shoot, Couce mentioned, “During the summer, there was interest in Modric aimed at securing his signature. Presently, the player has various offers, including from a club in the capital and another club.”
“Modric is currently contemplating his future at Real Madrid, but the possibility of him making a move to the Saudi Pro League remains open if the conditions of the offer are suitable.”
Considering Modric’s potential departure in the middle of the season, it would come as a surprise, especially given his chance to conclude his career in Spain on a high note by potentially winning La Liga with Real Madrid.
