Reports suggest that a Manchester United disappointment is set to engage in discussions with Turkish giants Fenerbahce as he seeks to terminate his unsatisfactory stint at Old Trafford.

Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has faced mounting pressure lately following their staggering 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth and their elimination from European competition by Bayern Munich. Despite a resilient 0-0 draw against Liverpool at Anfield, concerns persist over the team’s offensive prowess.

Among the criticisms aimed at Ten Hag are his player choices, including the preference of Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans over Raphael Varane in central defense. Additionally, the struggles of signings like Antony, Sofyan Amrabat, and Andre Onana have raised questions.

One player disregarded by Ten Hag, understandably, is forward Anthony Martial. Despite his promising start at Monaco and a £36 million transfer to Man Utd in 2015, Martial has fallen out of favor. He trails behind Rasmus Hojlund in the striker hierarchy, with limited playing time and a mere two goals in 19 appearances across all competitions this season.

Martial is among the quartet of players officially listed for sale by Man Utd, alongside Casemiro, Varane, and Jadon Sancho, as the club seeks funds for potential winter arrivals. While discussions between Man Utd’s director of football, John Murtough, and Saudi Arabia suggest a possible move, emerging reports from Turkey indicate interest from Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce, led by Ismail Kartal, are eyeing January reinforcements to bolster their chances in the Turkish league and Europa Conference League. They perceive Martial’s potential acquisition, with his Man Utd contract expiring at the season’s end, as a cost-effective opportunity.

Amidst this, Fenerbahce and Martial’s representatives are reportedly scheduling a “transfer meeting” to initiate the move. This session aims to address a prospective wage package and bonuses, contingent upon Fenerbahce’s agreement with Man Utd.
