Liverpool has recently received disheartening news concerning a pivotal player who has encountered their initial substantial injury setback during the international break.

Throughout the ongoing season, Liverpool has been plagued by a succession of injuries, and this trend persists even with players currently loaned out.

Reported by The Courier, Owen Beck is poised to make a return to Merseyside from Dundee owing to a groin ailment that could keep him sidelined until late April.

Tony Docherty, the manager of Dundee, disclosed, “Owen is looking at a recuperation period ranging from four to six weeks due to his groin injury. His parent club, Liverpool, will oversee his treatment to ensure he receives the utmost care.”

This isn’t the first time Beck has returned to Liverpool from Dundee this season. He was previously summoned back in January due to a crisis in the left-back position at Anfield.

Despite this setback, his loan arrangement has not been terminated, and there remains optimism that he can recover in time for the post-split matches in the Scottish Premiership.

At 21 years old, Beck had been enjoying a consistent streak of appearances at Dens Park, a departure from his previous loan spells at Famalicao and Bolton.

With access to Liverpool’s state-of-the-art medical facilities, it is anticipated that his recovery process will be accelerated, enabling him to resume his contribution to Dundee’s campaign before the conclusion of the season.
