Arsenal are anticipated to submit a bid for Wolves’ winger Pedro Neto, and potential financial constraints could expedite a swift summer transfer. Speculations indicate that Liverpool may not impede this move due to a significant development concerning Mohamed Salah.

The Gunners have harbored a prolonged interest in Neto, who has showcased stellar performances throughout this season. The dynamic 23-year-old winger has amassed an impressive tally of 13 goal contributions in 18 matches across various competitions. Notably, his eight assists in the league place him joint-third, trailing only Kieran Trippier and Ollie Watkins. Despite Arsenal boasting several impactful forward options, the absence of elite competition for Bukayo Saka in Neto’s typical right-wing role has been evident, with Reiss Nelson falling short in comparison.

The addition of Neto to Arsenal’s squad would provide manager Mikel Arteta with the flexibility to rotate players without experiencing a significant drop in quality. Given Arsenal’s aspirations to consistently compete for top honors both domestically and in Europe, possessing formidable depth is imperative.

According to reports from Football Insider, Arsenal is poised to pursue Neto once the summer transfer window commences. Additionally, compliance with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules may prompt Wolves to entertain offers for Neto promptly, as the sale of a high-profile player could alleviate financial pressures and allow the club to bolster multiple positions.

While Liverpool has also expressed interest in Neto, their pursuit hinges on Mohamed Salah’s future. The potential departure of Salah would heighten the Reds’ need for a left-footed right winger. However, even if Salah remains at Anfield, Liverpool can rely on Harvey Elliott as backup on the right flank, with Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez offering versatility in wide positions.

Recent reports suggest Salah is leaning towards extending his contract with Liverpool, dissuading the club from prioritizing reinforcements in the right-wing department. Instead, Liverpool may focus on strengthening other areas of the squad, particularly in defense and potentially central midfield.
