The departure of Kylian Mbappe represents a significant setback for Paris Saint-Germain, prompting the club to embark on a transformational journey by targeting three marquee signings, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.

Mbappe, 25, has conveyed his intention to leave the club upon the expiration of his contract this summer, with Real Madrid emerging as the likely destination for the French international.

While speculation has linked Arsenal and Liverpool as potential destinations, it appears Mbappe’s path is set to lead him to Los Blancos.

With PSG facing the loss of their talismanic figure in 2024, this marks the third major attacking departure within a year, following the exits of Neymar and Lionel Messi in the 2023 summer transfer window.

In response, PSG is poised to make significant moves in the transfer market to reaffirm their stature as one of Europe’s elite clubs.

Despite the high expectations placed on Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos to fill the void left by Neymar and Messi, their contributions have fallen short this season. Consequently, PSG is now eyeing three substantial signings for 2024.

According to Romano, PSG has been planning for Mbappe’s departure since December, with preparations already underway for at least three major signings.

These signings include a top-tier forward to replace Mbappe, a quality midfielder, and a talented center-back to bolster the squad.

While Xavi Simons has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Mbappe, additional reinforcements are being pursued to strengthen the squad further.

Players like Rafael Leao and Marcus Rashford have been linked with PSG, but Victor Osimhen emerges as a more probable target, given his suitability to the current team structure. Osimhen’s prowess as a striker would provide a different dynamic to PSG’s attack, complementing the wide talents of Simons, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembele, and Marco Asensio.

In midfield, PSG is reportedly eyeing Barcelona’s Gavi as a long-term target, with the presence of former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique potentially influencing the player’s decision to join PSG.

Additionally, PSG aims to reinforce its defense with a top-rated center-back. Lille wonderkid Leny Yoro has emerged as a prime target, drawing comparisons to Raphael Varane. PSG faces competition from Real Madrid for Yoro’s signature, but securing his services would further bolster their defensive options.

If PSG manages to secure the signings of Osimhen, Gavi, and Yoro, it would signify a remarkable coup and potentially elevate the team to new heights, even without Mbappe.
