Manchester United is considering allowing Casemiro to depart in the January transfer window and has attached a £50 million price tag to the Brazilian, as per insights from TEAMtalk.

The club has faced a tumultuous season, grappling with discontent among players and a changing ownership landscape. Lagging behind in the Premier League standings, several stars are contemplating their future, including midfielder Casemiro, who arrived from Real Madrid last year.

Sources suggest that United is actively seeking replacements for Casemiro and might facilitate a sale in January to infuse new vigor into Erik ten Hag’s squad, aiming for Champions League qualification next season.

Despite his arrival for £70 million in 2022 to elevate the club, the 31-year-old has become disenchanted with training conditions and the team’s struggles. Multiple sources close to the player indicate a likelihood of his departure in January or the upcoming summer.

Saudi Arabia has emerged as a potential destination for the highly decorated midfielder, with four clubs considering a move after being given indications of an open door for discussions. This opportunity could place Casemiro among prominent names in the SPL.

Additionally, Paris Saint-Germain has remained keen on the midfielder for years, although a move before summer seems less likely unless spurred by Saudi interest, potentially prompting action from the Ligue 1 side.

United aims to secure £50 million for Casemiro, who is under contract until 2026 and holds a significant salary. The club plans to reinvest this sum in a new target, with Joao Neves from Benfica identified as a top option. However, Benfica is firm on activating the 19-year-old’s £104 million release clause.

Bruno Fernandes, a current Red Devil, has expressed interest in playing alongside Neves in Manchester but remains uncertain about Neves’s fit in Erik ten Hag’s side. However, Casemiro’s potential departure could create a vacancy for Neves in the squad.
