Euro Paper Talk: Liverpool is putting up a big fight to acquire Arsenal and Tottenham target

Liverpool has reinitiated their pursuit of Bournemouth’s defender Lloyd Kelly, joining Juventus and AC Milan in the race for his signature, as reported by Tuttosport. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also showing interest in the center-back, whose contract with Bournemouth ends this season.

Tuttosport suggests that Kelly might be open to exploring new opportunities, especially as Juventus and Milan are experiencing an injury crisis in his position. However, Liverpool has re-entered the competition for Kelly after a reported failed €20m bid for him last summer.

Arsenal, Tottenham, and Liverpool are among the three new clubs looking to secure Kelly’s services in England post his departure from Bournemouth. Another potential destination for Kelly could be Germany, specifically with Borussia Dortmund. His decision might be influenced by the prospect of participating in the Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League, depending on the achievements of his potential suitors this season.

Notably, Arsenal, AC Milan, and Borussia Dortmund are currently competing in the Champions League, while Liverpool is in the Europa League. On the other hand, Tottenham and Juventus are not participating in European competitions for differing reasons.

Kelly, who has only played for Bristol City and Bournemouth, has never featured in a UEFA match in his career thus far. He joined Bournemouth in 2019, experiencing relegation in his debut season but contributing to their promotion two years later. He has since established himself in the Premier League.

At 25 years old, Kelly is contemplating where he envisions spending the next phase of his professional career.
