Chelsea is reportedly eyeing a significant move to secure the services of a top-tier winger before Manchester United, setting their sights on a teammate of his. Meanwhile, Liverpool might face competition from Paris Saint-Germain in their pursuit of a Wolves standout. Also, in today’s Euro Paper Talk, a Manchester City player reveals interest from Bayern Munich.

CHELSEA’S PURSUIT OF NAPOLI DUO

Apart from their interest in Victor Osimhen, Chelsea is actively seeking the addition of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli, as indicated by recent reports. The Blues are aiming to reinforce their attacking lineup with a new center-forward capable of leading the line for several years. While Nicolas Jackson joined Chelsea in the summer and has notched seven goals already, the 22-year-old may not entirely meet the standard required for Chelsea’s European aspirations.

Chelsea is keen on securing Osimhen as a primary target for the January transfer window. However, Arsenal is also vying for the Nigerian striker, although Osimhen prefers a move to Chelsea if given the chance. Napoli has set a steep price of £120 million for Osimhen, potentially making a transfer to Chelsea a part of a significant £200 million-plus deal involving Kvaratskhelia.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Chelsea is preparing an ambitious proposal to secure the services of the Georgian winger. Napoli’s position has weakened this season, and the club may struggle to match the ambitions of both Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen.

Aurelio de Laurentiis, Napoli’s owner, is facing mounting pressure regarding Kvaratskhelia’s potential departure and has signaled that the 22-year-old, who showcased 31 goal contributions in 43 games last season, could be allowed to leave for a fee of around €100 million (£87 million).

A Stunning Double Deal for Chelsea

This situation could pave the way for Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen to join Chelsea in a jaw-dropping combined deal amounting to £207 million.

However, Chelsea may face competition from other clubs for Kvaratskhelia. Manchester City and Real Madrid have also emerged as interested parties, with Manchester United sending scouts to observe the winger during international games. Should Marcus Rashford’s current underperformance persist, it might prompt Manchester United to intensify their pursuit of a high-caliber player in his position, leading to a potential rivalry between them and Chelsea for the significant capture of Kvaratskhelia.
