“In the current Chelsea team, the most significant shortfall appears to be the absence of a reliable striker capable of scoring a minimum of 20 goals each season. Despite Nicolas Jackson’s considerable efforts, he doesn’t seem to be the solution at this point in time. Mauricio Pochettino consistently seems to request more time for his young talents to adapt, but time is a luxury he currently lacks.

To highlight their struggles in scoring goals, Chelsea has managed to score only 34 goals in the Premier League this season, ranking third worst among the top 10 teams. West Ham with 33 goals and Manchester United with an astonishingly low 22 goals in 20 games are the two teams facing even greater challenges in the striking department.

It’s no surprise that Chelsea seems poised to outcompete Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in acquiring Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. Reports suggest genuine interest from all three clubs in the €60m-rated striker, who boasts 101 career goals in 236 games (as per Transfermarkt). Juventus might be willing to let him go. Chelsea, however, needs to assess their Financial Fair Play status before deciding whether to make an offer in the current transfer window or wait until summer.

Considering Chelsea’s prior interest in Vlahovic and reports indicating a prolonged pursuit, signing him could potentially provide better value for money compared to Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, whose cost is likely to be at least twice the amount.”
