Liverpool is keeping an eye on potential forward signings in case Mo Salah departs the club next summer. Al Ittihad, who failed with a £150 million offer for Salah in the last transfer window, is expected to renew their interest in the Egyptian at the end of the season.

In their quest for transfers, Liverpool has eyed Bayern’s Musiala and Leroy Sane. Musiala is considered the more probable signing. Sport1’s Kerry Hau mentioned on Sunday that Bayern needs to swiftly negotiate a new contract with Musiala to dissuade Liverpool or City’s interest, as he currently earns lower wages in the team and has faced issues with playing time under coach Thomas Tuchel.

Despite assurances from Bayern president Herbert Hainer that Musiala is valued and wanted to stay long-term, German media is growing concerned about losing one of the country’s top talents to the Premier League.

Bild’s Raimund Hinko addressed Musiala directly, expressing a strong desire for him to stay with Bayern and ignore any interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool, or Manchester City. Hinko stressed the significance of Musiala to Bayern, suggesting that he’s worth €110 million (£95.7 million), and his departure would deeply affect the club.

The sentiments in Germany seem to strongly advocate for Musiala remaining in the Bundesliga, despite his prior time in England, where he spent a significant part of his childhood and was part of Chelsea’s youth system before joining Bayern in 2019.
