Recent reports indicate that Barcelona is actively considering a move for Bryan Zaragoza, the forward currently plying his trade at Bayern Munich, as they gear up for the summer transfer window.

Zaragoza’s journey to Bayern began with a loan move from Granada back in January 2024, with plans in motion to make the deal permanent once the summer arrived. However, the transition hasn’t been smooth sailing for Zaragoza, who has found it challenging to settle into his new club, having only made two appearances and played a mere 35 minutes on the field.

Language barriers have exacerbated Zaragoza’s struggles, as he isn’t proficient in either German or English. Consequently, both the player and Bayern are considering the possibility of parting ways in the summer, with Barcelona emerging as a potential suitor.

Barcelona’s interest in Zaragoza isn’t new; they had previously pursued him during his tenure at Granada but couldn’t meet the hefty price tag, which was estimated to be between €15-20 million. Now, Barcelona is eyeing a loan deal for Zaragoza, with an option to buy, with the total transfer fee not exceeding €20 million. However, the final outcome hinges on negotiations between the clubs.

Before his move to Bayern, the 22-year-old enjoyed a successful spell at Granada, amassing 58 senior appearances and contributing 11 goals and three assists.

Zaragoza isn’t the only Bayern player on Barcelona’s radar; there’s also interest in Joshua Kimmich, whose contract is set to expire in 2025, sparking speculation of a potential departure in the upcoming transfer window.

In other developments, Barcelona is preparing to take on Las Palmas in La Liga, with manager Xavi confirming that key players Ilkay Gundogan and Robert Lewandowski won’t be rested for the upcoming fixture.

Despite their heavy workload, both players are deemed fit and ready to make significant contributions. Xavi commended Gundogan’s exceptional season, emphasizing his invaluable impact both on and off the pitch. The German midfielder has been instrumental for Barcelona, showcasing stellar performances and serving as a linchpin for the team.

Likewise, Lewandowski’s influence has been profound, bolstering Barcelona’s attacking prowess with his prolific goal-scoring record and vast experience.

With the La Liga title race heating up, Barcelona is determined to maintain their momentum, especially with a crucial UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain on the horizon.

As a result, Xavi intends to field his strongest lineup against Las Palmas, with Gundogan and Lewandowski expected to play pivotal roles in Barcelona’s quest for silverware this season.
