The French player has been consistently rumored to be considering a move to the renowned Spanish club for quite some time. Recent reports suggested that he waived substantial loyalty bonuses to facilitate a potential transfer in the upcoming summer. Nevertheless, Madrid quickly denied these reports, indicating the existence of a contingency plan in case Mbappe decides to stay in Paris beyond the next summer.

As per Bild, Real Madrid has set their sights on Bayern’s rising star, Musiala. The 20-year-old has not yet signed an improved contract with the German club, and the publication suggests that Real Madrid may need to triple his current salary to approximately €8 million (£7m/$8.6m) per year to retain him. Despite Pep Guardiola considering the German international as the successor to Kevin De Bruyne at Manchester City, Real Madrid believes they have an advantage, given that Jude Bellingham, Musiala’s former roommate at the England youth level, is part of their team.

Musiala delivered an outstanding performance last season, contributing to 29 goals in 47 appearances, earning him the second position in the prestigious Kopa Trophy award, just behind the impressive Bellingham.

However, it is emphasized in the report that Mbappe remains Real Madrid’s top priority for the next summer transfer window. Bayern also holds a significant influence in any potential Musiala transfer, with CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen recently expressing the club’s desire to retain him for as long as possible.
