Harry Kane has praised Leroy Sane, a transfer target for Liverpool, ahead of the January transfer window. Last month, Mirror Football reported that Sane, 27, is Liverpool’s primary target, especially with uncertainties surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future. Salah is expected to be targeted by ambitious Saudi Pro League clubs in the summer, and Sane is seen as a natural replacement should Liverpool lose their talisman.

Sane, with previous Premier League experience at Manchester City, has become a key player at Bayern Munich in recent years. Kane, the England captain, believes Sane has been Bayern’s best player this season, citing his great pace and outstanding power. Kane expressed his admiration for Sane’s skills and noted his importance to the team, particularly in lifting them up during crucial moments.

Kane’s positive assessment of Sane is likely to attract attention at Anfield, given Liverpool’s strong interest in the German international. Sane has been in impressive form this season, contributing eight goals and six assists in just 11 Bundesliga appearances.

Liverpool is prepared for potential interest in Salah, having rejected a £150 million bid for the 31-year-old during the summer transfer window. While it remains uncertain if further proposals will emerge in January, Salah’s services are expected to be in demand at the end of the current campaign.

Jurgen Klopp, who expressed confidence in keeping Salah back in September, has witnessed Salah’s stellar performance as the leader of his revamped Liverpool side. Salah has scored 10 league goals in 12 games this season, surpassing his total of 19 from the previous year. After Salah’s brace in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Brentford, he was lauded as the “best player in the Premier League” by Brentford boss Thomas Frank.
