Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly contemplating a significant move to acquire Manchester United’s standout player, Marcus Rashford, during the upcoming summer transfer window. The French club is eager to secure the services of the English forward to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappe’s anticipated departure from Parc des Princes. Mbappe is poised to join Real Madrid on a free transfer as his contract with PSG expires in June, with no plans for an extension confirmed.

In light of Mbappe’s impending exit, PSG is in search of a marquee signing to bolster their attacking prowess, with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz also on their radar. However, recent developments suggest that PSG has shifted their focus to Rashford, despite his inconsistent performances this season, recognizing his importance to Manchester United.

Rashford’s goal-scoring output this season has been lower compared to the previous campaign, but PSG views him as a pivotal target for their post-Mbappe era. Reports from the Daily Mirror indicate that PSG is prepared to make a substantial offer to lure Rashford away from Old Trafford, with rumors suggesting a potential £75m bid, although Manchester United values him closer to £100m.

Despite signing a contract extension last summer, there have been murmurs of discontent surrounding Rashford’s situation at Manchester United, exacerbated by incidents such as his absence from training following a night out in Northern Ireland. With PSG poised to make a move for Rashford, the decision could rest with Manchester United’s new minority shareholder, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as the summer transfer window approaches, making this a story worth monitoring closely.
