Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe contract includes a €100 million incentive.

Real Madrid faces a substantial financial commitment in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe in 2024, should they secure him through a free transfer. The French captain, on the brink of concluding his Paris Saint-Germain contract, is anticipated to reveal his future plans in the upcoming weeks. Over the past year, Real Madrid has maintained confidence in Mbappe being their primary attacking target, notwithstanding his well-known change of mind in 2022.

While Mbappe has consistently dropped hints regarding his intentions, reports from both French outlet Le Parisien and ESPN indicate that Madrid is likely his decision. The former AS Monaco forward is poised to join Real Madrid in the upcoming summer without a transfer fee, but the contractual agreement will impose a significant financial burden on Los Blancos.

According to a Daily Mail report, Mbappe is willing to accept a reduced salary to join his potential new team. Real Madrid is offering a substantial €100 million signing bonus as part of this arrangement. Furthermore, Mbappe will retain 60% of his image rights, surpassing the typical club limit of 50%, as outlined in the comprehensive contract offer.

Despite these financial considerations, the agreement’s structure ensures that Real Madrid maintains their existing wage structure. Mbappe is expected to earn less than the €25 million per year he currently receives at PSG, thus allowing the club to navigate the financial aspects of this high-profile transfer more effectively.
