Borussia Dortmund’s manager, Edin Terzic, shared insights on the return of Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho after his inaugural training session back with the Bundesliga side. Sancho, who had been sidelined from United’s activities since a public fallout with Erik ten Hag in September, underwent his first training with Dortmund.

Despite the absence of an apology and unresolved differences, Ten Hag, during a press conference, expressed well-wishes for Sancho’s temporary move to Borussia Dortmund, emphasizing his hopes for success at the winger’s former club.

In Terzic’s press conference, he affirmed Sancho’s participation in training and conveyed the player’s contentment, noting that he had been actively training in the preceding weeks. Terzic stated, “We are pleased that Jadon is finally with us. He enjoyed the training sessions, maintaining good health and consistent training efforts in recent weeks. Today’s session will further gauge his readiness.”

Having been away from competitive football since early in the season, Sancho faces the challenge of revitalizing his career in Germany. Concerns loom over potential further drops in his market value if he fails to make an impact during his second stint at Dortmund, a move that has garnered criticism in some quarters in Germany.

Dortmund, currently positioned fifth in the league, faces a significant task in turning around their season, sitting six points behind fourth-placed RB Leipzig.
