Transfer rumors and news for Liverpool today: Late swoop for Top Liverpool Player in the Al-Ittihad plan

by LAVIZKID

Al-Ittihad’s pursuit of Liverpool’s players, particularly Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, and Mohamed Salah, has become a hot topic in recent transfer discussions. The Saudi Pro League team, Al-Ittihad, has honed in on Liverpool’s assets, including Konate, despite the Frenchman’s relatively recent arrival at Liverpool and his positive impact at the club. Reports suggest that Al-Ittihad’s interest intensified after other potential transfers, notably OGC Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo, fell through.

Despite Al-Ittihad’s persistence, Liverpool, under Jurgen Klopp’s management, appears resolute in retaining both Konate and Gomez, considering them pivotal to the team’s structure. Even though Konate reportedly rebuffed Al-Ittihad’s advances, the Saudi club seems undeterred in their pursuit.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is actively exploring midfield additions, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Exequiel Palacios emerging as a target. However, Leverkusen’s stance on retaining Palacios, a key component in Xabi Alonso’s plans, might be swayed by a substantial offer. This interest in Palacios isn’t exclusive to Liverpool, as Manchester United also eyes the midfielder.

The persistent interest from Al-Ittihad in Mohamed Salah has fueled speculation about the Egyptian’s potential departure from Liverpool. Reports suggest a substantial offer nearing €150m could materialize, despite Klopp’s public denial of any plans for Salah’s exit and refutation of claims that Salah desires to leave. Al-Ittihad remains keen on securing Salah as their star signing, intensifying their efforts to facilitate the move.
