If Erik Ten Hag faces the axe as Manchester United’s manager due to the team’s underperformance, fans are eyeing potential replacements. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is poised to acquire a 25% stake in the club once the Premier League greenlights the deal, likely taking several weeks. Meanwhile, Ten Hag is struggling to maintain his position amid the team’s seventh-place struggle in the Premier League, having suffered seven losses and being ousted from the Champions League.

Reports suggest rifts between Ten Hag and some players, heightening the pressure on him. While a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Liverpool boosted his standing, the impending new investor demands a more impressive second half of the season for Ten Hag to secure his role.

Should Ten Hag depart, Express readers favored Zinedine Zidane as the top choice to replace him, with a significant majority in a poll casting 2,752 votes in his favor. Despite Ratcliffe leaning towards Graham Potter as his primary replacement choice, the poll showed Roberto De Zerbi and Michael Carrick as more preferred options over Potter. Interestingly, Massimiliano Allegri received the fewest votes, signaling lower interest in his appointment. Potter garnered the fourth-highest support with 1,132 votes.
