A recent report suggests that Chelsea is preparing an enticing proposal to secure Kylian Mbappe’s services in the closing days of the transfer window. According to German newspaper Bild, Chelsea aims to present a final bid of around 120 million euros (approximately 130 million dollars) to PSG between August 29 and September 1. However, this offer falls short of PSG’s preferred sum, which is approximately 150 million euros (around 163 million dollars) for the French star.
Despite the reduced bid, there’s a belief that this offer could still be very attractive. If accepted, it would force PSG into a dilemma: either accept the lower amount or retain Mbappe for the final year of his contract, risking losing him for free in 2024.
Mbappe’s situation at PSG has been tumultuous, involving initial refusals to allow him to train with the team, followed by his recent return to training and participation in a match against Toulouse. Nevertheless, tensions persist within the club, with fan discontent and an uneasy atmosphere in the dressing room.
