FC Copenhagen’s sporting director, Peter Christiansen, has firmly cautioned Chelsea and any other potential suitors eyeing Roony Bardghji in a recent statement.

The 18-year-old winger’s standout performances this season, notably in the Champions League, where he impressed even against Manchester United, have garnered significant attention. Reports from various sources, cited by Sport Witness, have linked Bardghji with a possible move to Chelsea. However, Christiansen’s comments emphasize that acquiring this promising talent from the Danish club won’t come at a bargain.

Chelsea’s readiness to invest in talented young prospects has been evident with recent signings like Enzo Fernandez, Mykhaylo Mudryk, and Moises Caicedo, reflecting the club’s ambition under Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali’s ownership.

Bardghji appears to fit the mold of players Chelsea targets, but other elite clubs are likely to take notice of the Sweden Under-21 international’s rising potential.

Christiansen highlighted Bardghji’s immense value to FC Copenhagen, referring to him as an “exceptionally promising player.” He also issued a warning to Chelsea and interested clubs, stating, “The clubs eyeing Roony must be prepared to offer a substantial sum, or he will remain with FC Copenhagen for the foreseeable future.”
