Next summer’s potential sale of Mohamed Salah might pave the way for Liverpool to pursue Kylian Mbappe, although they face a formidable challenge from Real Madrid in securing his signature, according to insights from TEAMtalk.

Kylian Mbappe, widely acknowledged as the premier footballer globally, is poised to exit Paris Saint-Germain when his contract concludes. While Real Madrid is anticipated to be his destination of choice, several clubs, including Liverpool, are contemplating a move for the sought-after forward. The prospect of adding a world-class talent like Mbappe to their attacking lineup is enticing for Liverpool, though this would necessitate a significant financial commitment, possibly in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Although Mohamed Salah remains a key figure for Liverpool, excelling with 10 goals and securing the second spot in the Premier League’s top scorers’ list this season, he’s a prime target for the Saudi Pro League. Al-Ittihad had previously offered up to £200 million for Salah, but Liverpool adamantly rejected all propositions, including a £150 million bid. However, the scenario might shift in 2024, especially if a similar high fee is presented, enabling Liverpool to offer Mbappe a lucrative deal that would surpass their conventional wage structure.

Mbappe’s fallout with PSG emerged when news surfaced about a supposed verbal agreement between him and Real Madrid, leading to discord during contract negotiations with PSG. Consequently, PSG’s Qatari owners opted to conclude talks and informed Mbappe that he’s free to depart, prioritizing the club over any individual player.

While Real Madrid appears close to finalizing a deal for Mbappe, this development has put other clubs, such as Liverpool, on alert, signaling a potential window of opportunity for them to pursue their bid for the acclaimed talent in the approaching months.
