Even though the club highly values Salah, losing him would be a tough blow, given his consistent performance as one of the top scorers and essential attacking forces for Liverpool over the years. The Saudi Pro League’s emergence, particularly Al-Ittihad’s persistent pursuit, poses a challenge to Liverpool’s stance.
Despite Al-Ittihad’s previous £150 million offer being declined, speculations hint at another bid coming in January. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool remains firm in their decision not to let Salah leave during the January transfer window.
Yet, the scenario might alter if Al-Ittihad continues their pursuit into subsequent transfer windows. With Salah approaching the final year of his contract and turning 32 in mid-June, a colossal offer at that stage could be hard for Liverpool’s owners to resist.
