Real Madrid appears to have their sights set on landing Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe once again, armed with a substantial transfer kitty of £342m ($429m).

Renowned for their ‘Galacticos’ strategy during Florentino Perez’s tenure, Real Madrid has a history of recruiting superstar names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, David Beckham, and Luis Figo.

Reportedly, AS has indicated that Real Madrid is prepared to rekindle their pursuit of the world’s best talents, having recently freed up significant funds for future transfer windows. With approximately £111m ($139m) available in the bank and an additional £231m ($290m) accessible through secured credit policies, the club is in a powerful financial position to make substantial investments.

The club’s readiness to make a splash in the transfer market is evident, with an excess of £68m ($85m) in their wage bill following departures such as Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard, thereby creating space for more high-earning talents.

Kylian Mbappe, a long-standing target for Real Madrid, could potentially become a free agent after the current season if he chooses not to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. Meanwhile, Erling Haaland, currently with Manchester City, has a release clause in his contract that can be activated by non-English clubs, set at £172m ($216m) next summer and £150m ($188m) in 2025.
